EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

On a work trip in LA, so I brought the invisa-knife along. I custom ordered it with translucent scales and upgraded to invisa-steel. This thing is amazing…never needs to be sharpened, feels great in hand and the pocketability is off the charts…you don’t even notice it’s there…can’t recommend enough

I picked one up on your recommendation but I set it down and now I can't find it 🤗

Who’s the maker, after the sales pitch I’ve got to find one🤔🤥

Woodysone, they are made by “California Legal Knives”, I checked earlier and they were having a going out of business sale and there was only one left. Just checked and it is gone. BlindMouse2of3 must have gotten it. Congrats!

If you're working in downtown LA, run by Ross Cutlery. It's a pleasant surprise in a most unexpected spot. Also run by Felipe's for a French dip sandwich.

Pretty much every time I've gone to the Cheburkov side of the Russian drawer for a day's carry lately it's been my Dama Scout that's ended up in my hand. Once in a while I'll grab another model Cheb, but my Pyramid Scout has been too long deprived of any attention. This was my first from Workshop Cheburkova and is a knife I've liked a lot from the beginning. This one's the same pattern as my other Scout, of course, but is quite different overall nonetheless--in blade thickness and steel, 4 mm M390 vs 3.5 mm Zladinox Dama; handle slabs, exterior milled only vs interior milled only; titanium anodized handle finish, Type 4 vs Type 2; and a substantial difference in weight, almost 6 oz vs just over 4 oz. Anyway, I'm carrying the heavier version today--one that's quite similar to my Shiro Turtle but with its own, distinct Cheburkov design language.

Aside from their other distinctions, the blades of my two Scouts have subtly different grinds, the Zladinox being FFG while the FG of the M390 is 9/10 toward the pivot, tapering out toward the tip. The latter has the most appealing, to these eyes, eased transition from its primary grind to the ricasso at its spine.
