You can't see it, but the reel seat insert on the fly rod is also black micarta. A perfect match, for me.

Thumbstud opening, but, not flickable which is fine, good midlock and the blade is exceptional, very thin with the point below the centerline of the handle giving it a lot of cutting ability without running off the material you are cutting.
High marks for a low price folder, I recommend it if you can locate one, Manly City folder made in Bulgaria
