One of my favorite no worries carry’s and probably one of the best bang for the buck knives out there imo. This was thrown in for free with a knife purchase from BHQ a while back and I wasn’t expecting much but man was I surprised! Very thin behind the edge and came razor sharp and with this D2 it’s a great slicer. Rock solid lockup with no play and blade dead center with wonderful fidget friendly action.

I have been enjoying my more basic knives recently. I don't know why but I seem to connect most with Spyderco back locks. Compression locks are nice but the back locks just have a special feel to them.

I love Spyderco backlocks! They're a staple in my collection for various reasons.

I finally have a Spyderco with Nishijin. Never thought it'd be the R3!

In my case, my Wharnie shipped on April 30th and made it to "Out for Delivery" in 4 days, on May 4th. However, it didn't get delivered and tracking has not updated since 12:10 AM on 5/5/24, with it saying, "Awaiting Delivery" ever since, with no updates to the tracking page in the last 72 hours!

This is what I bought, pic below

May 15th, and still missing. I was able to submit a missing package report on the 10th for the first time without an error, but nothing so far

What is that on the top? Straw or something? You have it on there to retain the water in the soil? I need to get something over my topsoil layer here in AZ.

Yes, using 4" hay mulch. Protects the soil from the Sun, the wind, keeps the weeds down and I need to water less. As it slowly breaks down, it also feeds the life in the soil. Woodchips are also great, or just plain cardboard can be used in a pinch.

Ok awesome! My auto hose spipigot timer only waters up to every 12 hours, and the direct sun dries out the soil fast. I heard people put plastic down for that but didn’t want to fry my plants by retaining all that heat. I appreciate the info, I’ll look into it. Thank you.

I hand water, only where the water is needed, at the base of the plants, and I only do it every other day. YMMV. Cheers!
