Since I posted yesterday's carry this morning I was tempted to just pocket it again today, but instead set it back in the upper tier of my Benchmade storage and grabbed the one right next to it--another of my four examples of Kevin Wilkins' Griptilian work. This one has both his aluminum scales as well as one of his replacement blades. At first glance it's quite similar to the BMK 550 blade, especially the newer ones as it's flat ground S30V, but Kevin's features a forward swedge, oval hole, a more generous belly, and a less pronounced, un-jimped thumb ramp. I always wanted one of these and don't really have a preference between it and the 154CM hollow ground I was so pleased to acquire and carried yesterday. I like each of them in its own way.

I’ve been separated from 98% of my knives for the past 4-5 weeks. Now that we’re somewhat settled into the rental we’ll be living in while our new place is being renovated…..my knives and I have finally been reunited.

On a brief aside; that frikkin’ song has been playing in my head all day. “Reunited and it feels so good….”

Anyway, I began unwrapping/unpacking them today….and went with a small Sebenza and a little Peaches and Herb for a Tuesday afternoon.
