Great pic! I really wanted to like the Code 4, but it always felt like it wanted to fall out of my hand. I'm not opposed to slick handles, I just think it needs more of a swell towards the rear of the handle to help lock it in to my hand.

Do you have any issues with the ergos?

My edc pic today:

Thanks. The red welding curtain made the pic come out interesting looking.

The slippery finish on the handle is my biggest gripe with the code 4. I do like it otherwise and don't mind aluminum scales but i wish they had used a finish like Benchmade or Kershaw does on some of their aluminum handles . I have been debating how to improve that with options so far being grip tape, milling some lines or a pattern, or having the handle engraved to add some texture. Not sure what else could be done but im leaning towards having the show side engraved with some kind of design after finding some examples online.

I've seen a few people opt for the grip tape and it looks like it would work well. The examples you provided for engraving turned out really nice. The possibilities are endless going that route. I would consider attempting some patterns found on CRKs, maybe even attempting the inlays just for the fun of it. Whatever you decide, I look forward to seeing pics!

I was posting over at the CRK pages in the thread regarding the unveiling of the new Sebenza 31 and participating in a discussion of the ceramic ball interface. I figured I might as well carry a knife with that feature, so I grabbed my Wilson Combat 25 StarBenza. I shot these out back on another gorgeous day under the trees with the sunlight filtering through the leaves.

Unfortunately, I'll spend the afternoon in the basement fabricating the other half of my lead-coated copper slider pan/pent-roof apron/post flashing. If that sounds dreary and complicated, it is, but there's a plu$ $ide to it too. :D

Edit: Seems to be a pretty strong CRK day on this page.
