Very sweet Giant Mouse fixie and a nice size too. As for the bead, well perhaps you'd find something that wasn't a SciFi death mask more attractive. Just sayin'....View attachment 2619591Along with the bead I bought for the gmf1-xl hoping I would end up liking having a bead which I never do.
My friends and I played that game all the time in the 80's! Makes me want to play it again. And buy a Herman...Both my Inkosi (day 72) and my Zome Endela have gotten some pocket time today.

I'm going to need something like this for my REK Benchmade 940 re-blade that I have pre-ordered, as I don't have a 940 yet (just a 9400)After including this one in pics for comparison's sake alongside yesterday's main carry, I had it with me solo IWB in b-ball shorts today.
BMK 94(3)-1 Franken.

I do like carbon fiber a lot and, alongside examples from Shirogorov and Cheburkov, Benchmade CF is some of the best around. Aside from its good looks, this one has a texture to it that makes for a really solid grip in hand.

I did a quick search and there seem to be lots of aftermarket scales available from a bunch of makers, but you'll need a 940 for the guts anyway. This one of mine is a stock 943 S30V. blade in a Benchmade 940-1 handle that I found as is on the Exchange. I had bought a 940-1(S90V) earlier but wasn't really a big fan of the blade shape and found BMK's version of that steel to be kinda chippy. Once I got the Franken I sold the stock 940-1 in fairly short order. Josh's re-blade is pretty cool. The 940-1 and the G10 940-2 both seem to be still be in production and maybe you can find one on the secondary market so you don't have to shell out full price for a new one. I don't imagine you want to put that sweet blade in the stock green aluminum handle.I'm going to need something like this for my REK Benchmade 940 re-blade that I have pre-ordered, as I don't have a 940 yet (just a 9400)![]()
Yeah, I've PM'd someone about some etched Ti scales here (but OEM CF I like more than aftermarket), and I would pick up a basic 940-something for the guts, and upgrade with scales and blade.I did a quick search and there seem to be lots of aftermarket scales available from a bunch of makers, but you'll need a 940 for the guts anyway. I haven't see a Gunting in years! Thanks for the memoriesStill hot around these parts, took a trip downstairs to the closet and pulled out a couple of old friends, Lakota and Off brand Gunting. Boy how things have changed
