I bought 21 knives from an estate. I knew the deceased. Decided I owe it to him to carry one. This is the one I decided on.

Nice pair of knives LimpCroissant ! That proto 0801 is a really nice example. My snakewood Mnandi doesn't get much carry for no particular reason, but I really love my 0801's--one blackwash and one pimped. The latter is too pretty perfect to carry as it marks up awful easily, but the blackwash one finds its way into my pocket with some frequency. I've had a bunch of ZT's over the years, but the those two Rexfords and an 0452/0450 Sinkevich pairing are the ones that stuck.

Thanks ChazzyP! Yea I'm so glad that that proto 801 somehow escaped my knife selloff after I got out of the hobby last time. Those are some nice ones you got there too! ZT/Kershaw's Blackwash was always a really cool finish, and that customized job ya got there is super cool! I know what ya mean about it being almost impossible to not immediately get scratched with that nice polished finish though. I like how the milled out sections are anodized, a much more skilled knife customizer once told me that Ti anodizing is really optimal for that sort of application, where it doesn't get direct abrasion against the hands and whatever you're setting it down against. It'll last infinitely longer that way.

Mornin folks! Got the ZDP-189 Stretch 2 CF and the Cruwear mini Adamas today. Both really cool knives that make me happy. The Stretch 2 sure is a nice thinly ground piece of hard ZDP. Something that will cut and cut like crazy, and is easy to touch up because of the behind the edge thickness, but I wouldn't want to do too much cutting where there's torsion involved. That's what the fatty Cruwear blade on the mni Admas is made for!
