I'll add about today's trip.
We went with the whole family to Oranienbaum.
The Palace of Prince Menshikov. His country residence.
Petrine Baroque in all its glory. Probably the largest surviving example.
The territory is quite large. A system of lakes and canals.
Many pavilions.
A concert hall designed by Rastrelli himself.
Smoking is prohibited in the word "completely". I purposefully walked around with an unlit pipe in my teeth. Local security guards came up to me twice and asked me to put it away. A Rosgrvardeyskaya came up once.
Then we went to the beach, to the Gulf of Finland. While my family was drawing "with their bare ass in wet water", I found a piece of root on the shore. I whittled out a goose.
Don't ask me why it's a goose. I just saw it.

I noticed Tyrant's website downgraded these to "Designed in USA" after it seemed they were initially claiming to be made in USA. Not surprising for the price... Nice designs though.
