EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I never knew you were a tip-down type!
Since my friend has made a point of needling me about the orientation of my knife's tip (there must be a play on words in there somewhere), I figured I'd double down and carry another Millie on this Ti Tuesday when we journeyed back to up to my son's with both trucks to pick up the locust we'd dropped and cut into bolts yesterday.

More to the point ( ) despite my great preference for tip-up carry, I've always really liked Spyderco's Military model and have had over the years and still have a fair number of them. Between the blade shape and length with its generously long handle, the knife suits my preference for long pointy (😏) cutters with lots of real estate for my thick old arthritic carpenter's mitts to hang onto. In the case of the Millie's traditional configuration, pulling the tip-down knife out of pocket sets the opening hole right at the thumb for ease of opening without having walk one's hand down the handle's length in order to deploy the blade.

Sal Glesser Sal Glesser would agree with you! He’s stated that is the very reason why the Military model came with the clip in that location.

Her are a couple of tantos for Tanto Tuesday.

Vaughn Nealy Timberline Tanto.

RJ Martin Devastator and a small fixed blade that I put together using the San Mai blade from an old Cold Steel Shinobu folder that the lock broke on, with the handle made of Ebony and the sheath made of Oak.

Beacon might be the best knife WE ever made. Too bad they got lost in a massive catalog

Thanks! Yeah, it might be my favorite WE. There are a bunch that get lost in the greater line-up. Some aspects of it being more neutral or basic that I like also help it to get lost. Of course, that also helps to make a great candidate for mods, like this blasted bark finish with ano from KnifeModders.
