We've been back from VT for a few days now and I've been pretty wrapped up in getting the b-ball league and our club going as well as dealing with a couple med appts. I'm just starting to get my BF vibe back and I'll post a bit from what I did and carried up North. I seem to have gotten into carrying the same knife a couple days in a row and being up at our place in the woods just seems to stretch that out even a little more. So, on the way up Thursday, then Friday doing some repairs to the siding on the cabin's south face, and on Saturday heading to the dump then out on an afternoon woods walk and up the back hill to the top of our timber-trespassed 4 acres through the slash and stumps while scouting about for firewood candidates....

...then chilling out on our little Southside deck, grilling burgers late in the day while the sun dropped below the hill across the way.

Your retreat photos sure make a man want to move that way. Winters I know are tough but they can be in Michigan as well.
