Got my large 21 back in service! I had it clamped up in my KME for an embarrassingly long amount of time because I had reprofiled it to 15 degrees per side using my 300 grit KME diamond stone, got about the most perfect edge I've ever gotten (on the flat), completely deburred except for a tiniest little bit. Then I had to go to sleep and had lost the motivation the next day. Then, the edge was so almost perfect that I was a little intimidated to go back at it. Well yesterday I said screw it and just put my 5 micron diamond covered balsa strop to it lightly and finished her up. So it's a 300 grit diamond finish, with just a hint of 5 micron diamond compound. It's one aggressive edge! It'll chew right through the skin on your finger by barely touching it, while cleaning up the Sharpy, I'll tell ya that! I left the front on the tanto not so perfect so that I can use it as a scraper type tool.

That's a great pic, Coleman. I always enjoy seeing your TiSpine and that you carry and use it frequently.

I had one for a few years with beautiful Chad Nichols Fade Damascus. It was offered and sold to me by PM at an excellent price by a very generous BF member who had read a post or two of mine expressing greater interest in that knife than the flood of BMK Anthem integrals that were all the rage around that time. It was the nicest Dama I'd ever seen, the knife was well-made and flawless, but was unfortunately a very poor fit for my beat up old carpenter's mitts. I finally sold it after several years of hardly any use, feeling just a little guilty in light of the unsolicited good deal I'd gotten as it was one of only a couple I ever made any money on.

BTW, I've often wondered what's with the flame ano at the lockbar cutout?
Thank you, S.

I do like the Ti-Spine. I’ve been searching out the Aculus for many years now. Unfortunately when they dropped, no one would ship to Canada, so I missed out

Yours sounded beautiful. It is a pretty cool slim handled ti integral. Doesn’t fit everyones hand, but if it does, it’s a joy to carry and use. My blade has some fading and scratches but the photos hide them well.

The ano…well, mine got some slight “lockrock” because of light lock-bar strength so I needed to adjust it. Only way to do that on an integral that I know of is with localized heat. The plan was to reblast the handle, but the coloring turned out to look pretty cool, so I left it as is.

Hope all is well and you get over to your other place again soon!

We're spending the day at the Casa. It's a sunny, mild day—perfect for sitting for a few minutes and taking in the view across the valley, which will soon be covered in snow.

I've had my ZT 0022 clipped to my pocket almost every day for a while now. It took me months of adjusting to get it to work for me, but now it fits just right.
