Pulled out the Strider for some knife box cut up duty 😆 with my helper at my side.
You say why the blue tape ? Well getting ready to put an edge on her and I was actually ready to put an edge on her and thought why not cut up some boxes first. It’s still actually Sharp but unfortunately this one came with a slight chip on the tip. Either compliments of Strider and or the dealer so my plan was to use the hell out of it and then sharpen after it needed it well that didn’t happen. I can’t wait since my OCD of wanting a perfect edge took over. It’s really not bad but you can see it and feel it with your finger although ever so slight. Now I just have to decide if I want a working edge or polished .

Well finished it up and decided to keep it close to the factory edge look. So I’ll call it factory with some extra love 😆 I thought it was sharp before but it’s dangerously sharp now came out really good. Got the point almost back completely with out taking off to much metal. I think one more sharpening and it’ll be perfect. But wow she is sharp now and ready to go for a ride in the pocket tomorrow for sure 👍🏻
Went from 350 to 400 , 600 then 800 and ceramic finishing with a leather strop and green compound. Should be at about 24 dps so the edge should hold up nicely .
 
One more Happy Veterans Day to all the Vets out there! Another day of thanks to you! I think that Veterans Day and Memorial Day should be as big as Christmas is here in the US. Both days off for everyone, huge celebrations, big parades, family get-togethers, giving gifts to all the vets in your circle, the whole shebang! Thank you very much for serving the country!
