Axis deer. Not a large animal, but sometimes necessary to shoot long distances across rough terrain.
It’s better to drop the game quickly and instantly, since you may have to hike through a mountain gulch to claim your harvest.

Great eye! You are correct. I usually use good ole Core Lokt Remingtons but on today’s hunt I wanted a bit more stability at distance.
Those silvertips are a great choice for taking game at distance. Reliable, controlled expansion & penetration, even at those lower velocities when you reach out there..and they have a relatively low standard deviation to boot. Nice kit!!!Great eye!
