Just put the last coat of Obenaufs on the leather sheath and hit the blade lightly with some green compound on my leather strop block

Yeah, you gotta watch those amateur sharpener types. They never know what they're doing. At least it wasn't a good knife.

Figured I should go with something made stateside today. My options with my current collection are embarrassingly low. This 940 will have to do.

Can I ask who made those scales? My buddy is a huge 940 fan but he's not on bladeforums - I showed him this picture and he loves it!

Outstanding coin pouch! When I was a kid, 50+ years ago there was an old shoemaker in town. Ray. He used to make sap’s for all the cops around north jersey. Cops would come far and wide for one of his saps and he never charged for one. Would fix all the kids shoes in Union City for free. He gave me my first apple sun cured slab chew when I was 10. Puked my guts up. Thank You so much for the memories
