I realized yesterday that the Lum designed Benchmade 760 and the Spartan SHF are pretty dang similar. They feel pretty similar in hand, with maybe the SHF being a touch curvier and hugging the hand a bit more, whereas the 760 has a tiny bit more of a straight stick shaped handle, yet it also hugs the hand pretty well also. Both those characteristics can be a positive or a negative depending on the person. The feel of the 760 in-hand reminds me of the Benchmade Dejavoo a bit, but that makes sense being that they were both designed by Bob Lum.
Looks like the titanium scales are a little bit thicker on the SHF, which I like, however they are both beefy. I love the feeling of the media blasted titanium scales on the 760, the texture feels super good to me in hand. It's funny how there are so many different textures of media blasted titanium scales depending on all the variables (bead blasted, sand blasted, glass blasted. I'm sure that there must be all types of media like ceramic, aluminum oxide, etc. however I'm not quite sure.)
Both are almost identical in overall length, as well as blade length and handle length, with the 760 being just a hair larger.
All said, both are awesome. I was just comparing the two and figured I'd write my thoughts and observations on them in case anyone was interested. Oh, and both are straight titanium to blade steel framelocks, no steel lockbar inserts, which I like. I'm not sure if it's just nostalgia from being into titanium framelocks before steel lockbar inserts were a thing, or if it's the feel of titanium against the steel blade tang, but I like them. Both also have hidden lockbar overtravel stops (similar to the Hinderer Lockbar Stabilizer, yet a different design).
Hope ya'll are having a good day!
