EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

He's doing good thanks for asking! My county (Yancey) here in western NC got destroyed from Hurricane Helene, fishing really took a hit. Our land and home is fine, but everything close to water is gone. We've never had anything like this before, in two days we received 23, 1/2" inches of rain, some areas had 30" inches we were without power, for 13 days, even no cell service for 8 days. We still don't have cable Internet, I'm on a starlink now. No one was prepared for this.

Tennessee wasnt hit nearly as hard, and there fishing is still decent. The water was so powerful that it would just grind cars and trucks up so bad that there unrecognizable, plus all the landslides and 80+ MPH winds. You can't even walk in the woods anymore from all the blow downs, it will never be the same here again.

I’m so sorry my friend, I cannot even imagine that happening, let alone to now be living through the aftermath.

Prayers are with you and your family, especially your buddy

Kizer Original XL S35VN and Titanium Frag pattern handle.

I got home a couple hours ago from a short trip up-Cape for a minor surgical procedure--just a quick excision of something on my back that definitely didn't belong there. All good now. I figured as long as this excursion involved cutting I'd bring along my favorite new blade to keep up a positive vibe. :D

Weird Wednesday, pulled out this prototype of the G.Sakai "Clutch-Lock" mechanism...a very interesting variation on the sliding bolt style lock😎

That is actually super slick!!!

BTW, the American Blade Works, Model 1 liner lock has nested steel liners on both handles.
