Nice old straight razor. Those are all I use on my face. I have a barber straight that uses half a double edge blade, but that is a blood letting for sure.
I tried the straight for shaving my head. Blood was flowing like a river. I leave the head shaving with a straight to the pros. Head shaving is disposable triple blade.

Yeah they can definitely cut ya real quick if you're not careful. And, as you know, even when you get decently experienced, you can still get a little cut if you're not paying attention. But, I wouldn't have it any other way now days. Plus.. If you get a nice little shallow cut across your cheek, it makes you look like a bad mofo and it makes the girls take a second glance! 😂

Yeah mine takes half a double edge razor blade too. When I first got it, it came with a pack of double edge razors and no instructions, so I didn't know quite what to do. I tried cutting them in half but the edge that I cut wasn't very straight, so I couldn't slide it in (that's how mine works). Do you cut your own double edge blades? I ended up buying a bunch of pre-cut just single edge straight razor blades. I do like how some of them have those little swing out attachment arms and the guiding knobs to keep the razor set in one spot. On mine you just slide it in between a tightly sandwiched piece of metal, it holds ok, but it doesn't have any guide knobs to keep it in the same place every time and secured. I don't know if my description makes sense, it's a little hard to describe.

For sure. Been using straights for over a decade and occasionally knick myself with a tradition one.
I buy double edge and pop them in half. They break easy and those work great. My barber straight has a plastic insert the blade fits in and that slides in the arm. I have a leaf brand 3 blade razor that I use on my head. The leaf is all metal but does a great job.

Well added my 2024 Gec Blade forum knife in my pocket today and also a PRL Motorsports Billet Turbocharger Inlet pipe Heat Sink to the little hot rod 😆 👍🏻👊🏻
