EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Did you watch the video? I discussed what it is, the history behind it and the pricing.
Just finished it. You should keep at that. You have a better delivery and are wayyyy more informative than like 90% of knife reviewers. For real not gassin you up.. it was a good video. I didn't know before this that knife came wayyyy before the rambo blade, or that THEY USED A CRUTCH BUMPER ON THE BOTTOM OF IT at any time.. that's just cool. I always thought that knife always had the brass compass pommel.. I also always thought this was his TAKE on on the Rambo knife, and am now finding out it was likely the other way around. I'm now subscribed and def wanna see this accessory you talked about.

Thanks! It means a lot to have an appreciative audience, my wife is definitely sick of hearing about 'em😂

Kind of a mixed bag today as I'd figured getting in some hours on the bathroom project today after I'd finished the bulk of the window trim and shelf unit sanding yesterday. I grabbed an old standby work knife and toted it around on my morning laps, cutting that short after a bit of a bump in the road. After helping the wife unload her truck from shopping, followed by lunch, I kinda lost incentive and had a lazy afternoon. I grabbed another knife for double fidgeting and kept both alongside the rest of the way. These two have a bit in common and a lot of differences too.

Did a little fishing this afternoon, unfortunately just after a cold front passed so it was pretty slow... only caught one fish.

Not sure what general location you're from, but it got to 80 degrees today in Denver...however, things are changing fast, with a fairly strong winter storm hitting between now and tomorrow morning.

Eastern NE... the temp didn't drop too dramatically but the wind and skies sure changed. Still a bit early for consistent fishing on fly gear here, but still nice to get out for a bit. Some big storms firing south of me right now.

Wow what a bargain I found!

I know a lot of members here will only buy American made. But this Kizer fixed blade is one of the best deals I have found. The full flat grind blade came extremely sharp. The micarta scales have great grip and are contoured all except the very edge which I don’t notice when gripping it. No hot spots. I have a large hand and I can get a full grip barely. Excellent kydex sheath with no rattles what so ever. It does come with a very cheap knockoff teklok that reviews online say will break so I just took it off. Will put an Ulticlip on it. I’m carrying it in front pocket along side my Hinderer and it disappears in the pocket. Anyways the whole package is a quality made knife and sheath.

To top it off it’s made of 3V. Wow $50 doll hairs?!!! What?! The D2?version is the same price now as this 3V.

People have tested it online and it’s coming in around 61-62 RC. Kizer states 61-62.5.

Would make a great neck knife if you carry that way. I plan to just front pocket carry it when I do but also I think this will be my dedicated truck console knife.

Anyways just want to share that this is an excellent knife with excellent steel and on sale right now at Amazon for $50.

Do yourself a favor and get one. If you don’t like it, free returns on Amazon.

If anyone knows where you can get a $50 3V knife that is better than this I’d like to know.

Have a great Thursday!

Great write up, Andy. I’ve seen this Maverick in a few posts around the forum and have considered it myself. Let us know how your Ulticlip works out.

This is where I wanna be right now. I can't wait to finally get back into the woods. My girls are big enough now I wouldn't worry too much. Think I'm gonna take em here in the next month or so. Those'll be some fun pics 😁
