  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

I'll take the easy way out of being chronically a day behind here and carry the same knife again today. I worked a bit in the wood shop yesterday making an extension for our manual pole saw to reach branches higher than I can manage with my Stihl power pruner. I'm headed back there now to finally start on the new cabinet doors for our bathroom refresh project which has been on abeyance since we left for and returned from Vermont.

The bathroom gods seems to have wreaked vengeance for our inattention as the hot water supply to the sink in the recently refinished vanity let go yesterday, causing a minor flood inside the center cabinet and onto the not yet replace floor.. Stuff like that is why I always turn off the water while we're away. The supply is integral to the faucet which will have to be replaced. I called our plumber instead of wrestling with it myself and he'll replace both 40+ year old shut-offs while he's under there.

Anyway, here's the SERE 2000 that I'm carrying again which makes for an excellent work user, pics taken in and just outside the shop.

Thanks again to woodysone woodysone for sending this great knife my way, adding to my little collection of true Al Mars.

My Carrie is a little late today. I’m heading to a Renaissance fair in the evening, but today I have a pretty heavily modified Emerson CQC7 tanto chisel grind, my spider coat bug lives in my wallet, which obviously hasn’t changed. I always drop a Swiss Army knife in my pocket, and today it is a tinker. The Ontario rat too in my back left pocket and the AD 20.5 in my left front pocket Along with a Civivi mini kukri with a finger choil I ground in (basically required. The economics are many many times better with that mod.)

I think that’s it as far as knives today
