My last Dewalt Purchase a couple years ago (DEWALT XTREME 12V MAX* Cordless Screwdriver, 1/4-Inch ) gets used Every Work Day . And it makes me smile and say THANK YOU every day . After I had a couple of wannabe screw guns go pop in less than a year of fairly light use . This Dewalt wasn't on the market then that I could find .
This sucker almost broke my wrist couple days ago when I forgot to reset it from Drill mode back to torque release for screws .

I’ve used Dewalt ever since I was doing finished carpentry for a buddy that was a subcontractor many years ago and they’ve never let me down . I lent one to a fellow worker and he got it so hot he popped the connections off the battery. I broke the battery apart and soldered it back together and it kept going for many years after lol.
Yup I’m a Dewalt fanboy even when not using it commercially anymore .

My coworkers know better than to ask to borrow a tool .
There was a story from way back :
I young machinist shows up at work and there was some problem with him not being able find his micrometer . He said to his coworker ; that old guy in the back has lots of 'em do you think he would lend me one ? Coworker says ; you'd have better luck asking to borrow his wife than one of his tools .
I'm that old guy in the back .

Many of my tools are custom modded. More and more , replacements are no longer available or twice the price . . . covid changes , changes in market demand ?
For example I can no longer buy a new Mitutoyo Metric Dial Caliper in 100mm !!!!!
and if I could it would be made in Brazil or some such , literally , no longer made in Japan .
Has the world gone mad entirely ! ? ! ?

There are a couple of tools I wish to buy now , the high quality ones I have that I have modded are no longer available and the reviews say the ones I am looking at are loosy goosy junk . I want to mod the new ones for a specific purpose if I could get a couple .
How is some young fool going to make that good when they break one ?

Knives : I'm not talking about knives today so here goes : I have one of the Burgundy Spyderco PD#1 coming tomorrow morning in a Delica . I had hoped to get an Endela but availability dried up . I'm going to be very happy with the Delica I am sure . It is just that I have many Delicas and only a couple of Endelas .
A Delica is good though ; Very Good .
Love my PD#1 Manbug ; very useful and looks great !
