I'll thank you for your service as well, as I assume no one goes to Afghanistan on vacation.
I checked out your image hosting site, so to get your pic to show, there are two ways to go after clicking on the Embed codes link there. What I most often do is to copy the BBCode link and paste that directly into my post. Easy, and works like a charm.
The other way is to copy the Image link under Direct Links, which you did, but then go to the menu at the top of the Reply box here and, just to the right of the smiley face link, click on the image rectangle which will open a dialog box. Paste the link into that and hit Insert. Voila!--the image should pop right up.

I received mine yesterday as well (with green micarta). I have never had the custom version, but I am very impressed with this production version! It is super stout and has great action. It’s about the perfect size for me (very pocketable). The blade is razor sharp (I was concerned that the blade would be too thick, but with the high hollow grind it seems very thin behind the edge for such an overbuilt knife). Can’t wait for it to see some action.
Are they aware?
