EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

That's cool to hear. I always like seeing knife folks on here getting together in the great wide world outside of here. I work in Seattle and it looks similar. Not as bad as Skid Row, but definitely quite similar. It's more spread out through the city here.

My progress is Slow..... And unfortunately the in between pics don't look like much, but I recently got a rotary platen, and learning how to use it has been Great.... My lines are blended much nicer now!

I'm waiting to compete with the big time....I'm going to need to make my knives prettier.

Carrying an old favorite today, the Cru-tuff Manix. I've had to have owned this thing (in one form or another) for the better part of a decade now.

This fool thinks he's being slick looking cute, but he just knows he's always getting a little treat when I'm finished

He's a good boy though, won't touch it until I give him the "OK"

Then back to his normal vibe, loungin'

It took me a little while to settle on today's carry. Not planning on anything work-like I figured to go with something kept nicer and narrowed in on making this a Spartan Saturday. My PJ S35VN hard-user was out by nature and the S35VN Northwest Coast and Magnacut Flourishes have been getting more love in such situations lately, so I gave my abbazaba Custom Division model in S45VN a ride today. Our friend had this made to order to match his 3.25" version as the large is not offered in these finishes. I'd always admired that look and had almost bought one before deciding the small was, well, just too small for my beat-up old carpenter's mitts. I was really happy to find this one on the Exchange when he offered it up.

Anyway, before I forget--Happy Birthday, Knives&Lint ! We're celebrating my wife's this weekend-- it's actually tomorrow--and she, our oldest son, and I went out to dinner at a place she really enjoys this evening. K&L, my bride's turning 50% older than you and I'll be 3 years beyond that next month. You've got quite a ways to go before downhill gets a whole lot steeper. Enjoy, and remember every year that goes by can still be another great one.

Thanks brother. I feel quite safe around it as I used to be a serious addict and spent a lot of years in that whole world and lived in my vehicle for a year because of it. I know how to act around them to stay out of harms way. That said, you can always end up in around someone who's going through a severe psychosis, and that gets very unpredictable. But I'll stay safe, and you too!

He's obsessed with whatever I'm eating. It started as a training thing, to keep him away while we're having our meals. If he sits and waits he can get come scraps after we're all done. However it's turned into a thing where he thinks it's his turn to eat every time I grab a bite. Little mofo even perks up when he hears the work "steak"

They allow us to think that we're training them, when a lot of the time, they're actually training us.
