EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Sharpening tomorrow’s carry.

after the juvenile Biden slur
I must point out that there maybe things , or organizations , that are blurring your perception.
Ironic considering your moniker .
I pick on all political parties universally. Did not mean to offend anyone. But if you are offended by something I post calling me out in the thread is not a very smart thing to do.

Ahhhh Friday Eve...
When I pointed my camera at my 15v Para 2 this afternoon I noticed this cool little patina on it. Completely natural, just from being in my sweaty pocket and overall carrying.

I found this cool old fixed blade in a tackle box that I got from a friend who unfortunately got arrested on a very old charge in another county on the other side of the state. It sucks because he's got one of the kindest hearts that I've come across. Just was dealt a hard hand at childhood and got caught up with the wrong crowd and ended up spending most of his teens and early life in prison. Because he has so many points from when he was a knucklehead, they want to give him 7 years in prison now, which sucks to see. I have a small role in helping run a clean and sober house, so I'm around this kind of stuff a lot.

Anyway, this fixed blade isn't much to look at, but I like this kind of thing. Somebody appears to have used it as their fishing knife for a very long time.

I watered the garden and most of the lawn this afternoon after work. I find great peace in watering nature in these hot months.

I've got a lot of way more expensive, extremely well made, beautiful knives, many built with high end materials, with great action, and a few that are quite rare, but this well-worn old 710 in many ways could be my favorite knife. The 710 is a great pattern and I have another stock in new condition (pretty much a drawer queen), and my 710-1401 in M390 with custom, holey Arizona Ironwood scales that I love, but this is the one that gets almost all the ride. I put a lot of work into restoring it, put a lot of work in with it, and a lot of wear on it, all of which makes it very dear to me.

That fixed blade has character. Good thing his has you as a friend to watch over the important things until he can return for them.
