EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Had to carry my James brand Barnes after talking to scorpnsnake scorpnsnake 🍻 about them. I still really like mine. Expensive yes, but if you can find a decent deal on one, they are very well made and a great design.

Then I re-potted this Jade plant yesterday. I initially grew it in this enormous terracotta pot thinking that it would love the big pot and grow huge. However it turned out that the Jade I put next to it in a small pot with zero drainage holes outgrew it by many miles. It's strange because you're supposed to have good drainage according to everything I've read about Jades, but that one in the small glazed ceramic pot with no drainage is just killing it, so I put this one in a terracotta pot many times smaller than the huge one.

They have a tiny, little, shallow root ball.

That's a happy little succulent right there and a handsome blade. :)

Yeah man! Through all the noise, this things shines like a star. Great design and excellent build. Happen to have it on me again today.

Usually when summer rolls around I "audition" lightweight knives to see if I can further optimize my collection.

I've been meaning to try the Bailout and with the current sale -- $160 everywhere -- and some rewards/etc. I figured for under $100 shipped now was the time. It's got some pretty direct competition in my rotation, but at 2 oz. with a 3.5" blade it threads a unique needle.
- 940 is also 3.5", but it's 3 oz. The handle length is closer than I was expecting.
- Endela is 3 oz. and 3.5", with a more accommodating handle, but in addition to being heavier it's notably wider in-pocket.
- Salt 2 shares the 2 oz. weight, but it's serrated and has a 3" blade.
- Leek is 3", 3 oz., and assisted.

I've never tried CPM-3V before so I'm looking forward to that, too. Can't wait to do some chopping and batoning... 🙃;)
