Hopefully other than the knife it was a good trip.I'm back from my 8 night camping trip! It'll take me a little while to sort through my pics to post some on here, I've been real busy, but I will eventually.

I left my Becker Kephart out on our table underneath our canopy because I thought it'd be fine there and stay pretty dry. It ended up pouring the last 2 full days. We got 1.2 inches the second to last day! I woke up and my Kephart was sitting in a small pool of water. I should have taken the scales off that morning and wiped it down. (I had put a layer of Beeswax over it a couple days before, which helped a lot on the blade, but the carbon steel under the micarta scales was untreated. I took them off yesterday and it looked like this.

I used Bar Keeper's Friend and a toothbrush and it got rid of some of the chunkier rust, but it still needs a good bit of work. I'll probably take it to and old strop and Flitz next, then maybe even use a felt dremel head with polish on it if the Flitz doesn't work, unless by any chance anyone here has any good tricks up their sleeves.

Felt good to be back though and to take a shower. Have a good day everyone!
Hopefully other than the knife it was a good trip.
You might try 000 or 0000 steel wool to remove the rust. Hope it cleans up.
Looks great ! Details on the strawberries, please, they look more like wild ones ? (yummy)
Looks like your garden is producing well, have to ask where are you located?
