So I looked it up and am surprised to learn that while it’s not illegal to carry a knife in a Canada post outlet, it apparently is illegal to carry one into a USPS outlet. Colo(u)r me surprised eh

And to be relevant to the thread, here’s my current EDC, including into the post office:

No they just don't allow you in the post office!!

Cleaning out my parents stuff, All this summer...
My grandfather made these. Steam engines.
With my "grandpa knife" I call this model No Love. I've made a few, this one is appropriately made of D2. Old school.

Enjoy the rest of the weekend.

I was planning to make considerable progress on the garden shed door today, but after my morning walk and our usual mid-day fruit, cheese, and meat bowl meal we got seduced by the afternoon Red Sox/Yankee game and I ended up just getting a little more prep done on the shed and jack pads. With work in mind this morning, though, I stayed in the American mid-tech drawer and grabbed an old favorite user and close relative of yesterday's carry for a Sebenza Saturday.

Finally got a little bit of time to post a portion of my camping pics.

We made lots of good food up there!

My Becker Kephart a day or two before I left it out and it got rusty AF from the tremendous rain storm we had.

One of my rides.

This was from my biggest ride. 28 miles one day in all dirt and gravel. Absolute heaven for my likes.

This spot got a little hairy. Riders call these type of rocks on a gravel road Babyheads. It get's pretty sketchy. With a straight up dirt bike it'd be a lot easier, but my bike weighs 400 lbs. However, it makes up for it because I'm able to ride it on the freeway at 80 mph loaded up with camping gear.

My bike did decide to take a quick nap when I was getting tired and about to head back, got stuck in a rut in the road and got laid out. Luckily I was fine. Had to straighten the Barkbuster type hand guards and my fork clamps slipped a little and the steering was off just a bit afterward. Although, I did carry all tools needed to do pretty much anything with.

A shot of some of my favorite camping tools. The shovel is particularly cool and proved useful for digging a few light trenches to divert water. It was my grandpas. I'm not sure where it came from, or which country made it, but it's super beefy and has a rough sharpened edge on one side and the front, similar to the Cold Steel shovels. I actually just ordered one of the Cold Steels today to check out. Probably give it to my Pops as he really liked my shovel.

Had to string up a tarp canopy over my tent for the big rainstorm. It worked really well though! I stayed dry even that night where we got 1.2 inches overnight. Didn't have a tarp big enough, so had to turn 3 tarps into one.

That's about it for today, I'll post more here another time soon. Hope ya'll have a good day!
