EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

They make some damn nice knives for the money. Attractive, tight, good enough materials for most uses, generally just very nicely made and now I have to put one of these on the list thank you very much. 🤣
Sorry to be such an enabler 😇

A few things that I like about this one are
Blade size
Hollow ground
The swedge is appropriate, meaning it’s not too wide
Handle isn’t too narrow or too wide, a Goldie Locks for me
Handle curved and scales are textured that provides a positive grip
Multiple means of opening
Button lock to help keep your fingers away from the blade
And lastly, a small standoff that is there for a lanyard if you want and if you’re not a lanyard aficionado there isn’t a hole on the side of the handle.

Today was an S90v kinda day.

Anybody remember the pajama knife? I bought this awhile after I started working from home and spent just about all day every day in my pajama pants, and I wanted something light that wouldn’t cause plumbers crack in those light material pockets. Well now I’m retired, still spend most of my day in pajama pants, I retrieved this guy from what used to be my home office and returned it to regular duty. At a svelte 2 oz, you don’t even know it’s there.

I finally got the "new" door and frame installed on my wife's garden shed today. Everything about that piece of work is salvaged--the door from the first house I stayed in on Cape some 57 years ago that I did extensive remodeling on back around 2009, the jamb stock from pine flooring from a virtual teardown job back around 2000, the stop stock from a board leftover from a 2018 garage to studio conversion for an old client, and the threshold cleaned up and repurposed from that shed which I built for us where we lived some 50 years ago. The hinges, screws and primer all came from stuff I had on hand, too, so there was no expense save for wear and tear on this old bod.

Anyway, I carried and used my old school Hati on washers on this Foreign Framelock Flipper Friday. I got this on the Exchange in rather poor condition in 2017 and traced its provenance through 5 previous owners. It had blade scuffs, terrible action and was considerably off center. The scuffs remain and have been added to on this most capable work user, the centering is now much better, the flipping action is snappy and wicked smooth, and the M390 blade takes and holds a wicked keen edge.

I'm really liking this TRM Neutron frame lock. I've had their liner lock Atom and the Neutron that I still have but this one knocks it outa the park. The action was a little stiff when I first got it, but with just a bit of tinkering on the detent the action is really great. Opens easily, with authority and drops shut under complete control.
At 3.1 oounces, it is easy to carry no matter what I'm wearing but it's still stout, thin and slicey like other TRM's. I planned on replacing the scales with CF or micarta but the course G10 are really provide a nice grip. It's been pushing my other knives out of the rotation.

I’ve become a HUGE TRM fan. I also have the Neutron II liner lock and liked it so much I grabbed an Atom, which is even nicer. Bulldog Rev B got moved to the top of the next last knife list. What do you like so much better about the frame lock?

It just seems a little more substantial in hand without a significant difference in weight. I also seemed to have issues with blade centering on the liner locks. No knock on the liner locks but the action on this one is much better in my opinion.
