EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

We had never seen any flying squirrels here on Cape in the over fifty years we've been here--just the usual grays and the occasional red. Our new neighbor had pest control remove what he said was one from his attic, but we were skeptical. Not that long after, we had a couple get into our attic and through a soft spot into our top-floor bathroom. We caught one in a towel and the cat got the other. We found and plugged the hole they got in, but a woodpecker opened another up under the rake that we missed, a pair got in and had a litter up there. We caught most of them in a trap but one got in the house and was climbing and soaring around in our high-ceilinged loft until it landed on the floor in my wife's study and met with the wrong end of a pellet gun.

They are cute and wicked athletic, but sure don't belong in the house.

I’ve seen a Horse fly , Butter fly , House fly but never seen a squirrel fly😆
