Lovely set, Pat!

Very cool 😎
New member here,......

The top three are typically on me every day..... occasionally I'll swap out the Hinderer 3.5 Skinny Spanto for the SOG TAC XR, depending on the anticipated need for the day. I do carry one of my CRK's at times, as well as Spyderco Native 5.

Welcome aboard…you crazy knife nut you ! 😜

Yesterday was a Wooden Wednesday with my custom-scaled 110-1401, but the pics I took in the sheetmetal shop after losing the daylight were terrible and I missed another day posting. I pocketed the same knife this morning, but, intrigued by B Bacchus 's teardown pics of his Shiro Braces over at the Bears' Den, I got out my framelock Hati, on washers like the Braces. My knife had come to me after a hard life through at least four other owners and it took a lot of effort to get the action right. As time heals all wounds, it's become downright snappy from use in the years I've had it, and, while it's still scuffed up and slightly off-center, it's a real favorite and a work user I'll carry frequently.

I had both on me today--the BMK in my right front and the Shiro in my right rear--two favorites in M390 on a Throwback Thursday.

The stars were aligned and I got ahold of a knife that's been on my radar since the day I first saw it. I found this on Craigslist and it is absolutely mint condition yet the previous owner said he "rolled the tip" and took it in to be fixed. I don't see any evidence of that. I mean the knife is perfect and I am just so happy to have it in my collection!

Howdy partnas! I got a new super handy gadget for very precisely oiling the washers on my knives. It's a syringe that's used for precisely measuring and applying chemicals and stuff in a laboratory or for veterinary use. I happened to find a box of them and had the idea to fill one with a little bit of Hoppes #9 gun oil, which is what I've used on my knife washers for over a decade (besides the ones that I use CRK grease on). It works amazingly well! I've never been one to drop oil onto the pivot of an assembled knife, it just creates a mess and gets oil in places I don't want it, and it never really seemed to work all that well for me. With this I can get less than a drop directly into the gap between the blade stock and the liner and watch it flow down into the washers without having it run down the inside of the liners and what not. I wasn't sure how well it'd actually end up working, but it has greatly improved the action on the 5 or so knives that I've used it on so far. I've always just waited until I couldn't take it anymore and then took the knife apart to completely clean everything and put a tiny dap of oil directly on the washers as I'm re-assembling, but this new little trick makes it so I can keep them working as intended for probably a very long time in between teardowns. I recommend trying it!
