EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Teardown Tuesday, checking out this old school Buck Knives model 186 "Folding Hunter"😁

That is easily the most interesting knife related thing I have seen in a while. I wish I knew about these in the 80's. I was a teenager back then. I had a BUCK 110 but that was the only BUCK I knew existed back then.
I would imagine that giant belt clip would create quite the hot spot after prolonged cutting. How does it feel in the hand? Great post & video! 👍🏼

It's actually not that bad since it's not on the palm side of the handle for me. They come with shorter screws to run clipless, or you could pick up a 560 that comes clipless (those are riveted construction though).

I've returned from self-imposed exile and I have to say this Chief of mine is a new favourite. It's perfect for me!

That is a beautiful knife. Something about the Spyderco Chief didn't sit well with me, maybe it was the extra large handle? but in these materials, I may just have to find one. I am a huge fan of the Crucarta series.

Good morning.

Exactly ! Back in Feb, at -30F, it was a bit nippy, but today is perfect - just enough to turn on the fireplace :)

Spent the Winter of 1978 on a Field Exercise in Vermont. My little thermometer was the wrong side of -40 C/F, definitely not something I want to do again! John
