for all my extended family here: thank you all so much for your thoughts and prayers. We are home! They said sometimes what happened is a side effect of a really awful migraine. That’s what they’re going with. She is better but not 100% yet. In any case we just clinked glasses of egg nog in celebration of our anniversary.
Thank you all again so much!
Great news.

So today is my wife and I’s 29th wedding anniversary. Yay! but we’re celebrating in the ER due to the possibility of her having had a stroke on Thursday. Boo! So far things are looking up but her speech is not right yet.
Hospital carry that I’m not supposed to actually be carrying.

Congrats on your anniversary! Fingers crossed firmly that she is recovering quickly.

What a rollercoaster this thread this morning is. Cheers on the egg nog ! Reminds me, I have to make some. Yesterday was St Nicklaus, after all.

Gladly. It's the Trivisa Gecko in 14C28N. Good action with either the thumb hole or front flipper. Solid lockup. Nice wire clip. The overall ergonomics are good but some of the G10 edges are a little crisp. Of course, I'm super picky about that and lots of people don't even seem to notice that kind of thing. I end up rounding over the edges and corners on lots of knives and I'll probably do it here. The worst spot is just above the lock bar where the interior corner cut comes just before the liner.

Thankya! On the one hand, I like the blade and handle shape. On the other hand, liner locks don't interest me that much.

What a first-world problem to have......

My first real EDC was a Delica. A decade later, I've come full circle and picked one up again. (Though in fairness, I've carried Salt 2s in between.) I was a bit worried the burgundy would be garish or toy-like, but it's a handsome and refined shade and I dig it.
