Knife details please, Forrest!

I was definitely looking to post again today as I work my way back to being a BF regular, but the weather was most uncooperative as it was dark and raining here on Cape and not at all a good day for pics. I reached back to a much older post for a couple late summer shots taken years back and miles away at the edge of our hilltop meadow in Vermont.

I put away one long and pointy Benchmade and grabbed another for for Fake Wood Friday. Well, Dymondwood isn't really fake as it's birch or poplar veneers, impregnated with resin, heat-pressed, and dyed to look like walnut or cocobolo. It's come a long way from the tree, though. Still, it's nice looking and has held up well over the several years I've carried and used this one.

As long as I'm putting up a re-run, I might as well include its third pic with the view east across the Connecticut River toward the hulking mass of Mount Moosilauke with its 4810 ft North and 4650 ft South Peaks. In front are the lesser Mt Clough to the right and Black Mountain to the left, with the slightly lesser Sugarloaf Mountain hidden behind our trees below the latter. From there, the Hogsback, a rocky ridge, runs southerly, through Blueberry Mountain terminating in the appropriately named Owl's Head rock face.
