EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

"Improved" Bodacious. Love the knife generally, but the factory scales look like they were made from an old chalk board. Allen Putman scales in GREEN CANVAS MICARTA! I know some people ( jfk1110) get excited about that material. Now it has both traction and character.View attachment 3108020View attachment 3108021View attachment 3108023View attachment 3108025

Great upgrade! I love the feel of Micarta.

It's not as much the look of the stock scales but how blocky they feel and the crisp inner edge. I posted a review in the review section. I'm in the market for new scales but I want to get some with the "skinny" mod that smooths out the central hump. I've been talking to a guy about it since this one is new enough that there aren't as many "skinny scale" options out yet.

.... and today.

More on this one please. . . 😮😍
Hey BP, the knife is a Cheburkov Limited Edition Scout in Zladinox 1016 stainless Dama from 2016. It's certainly a well traveled piece--I am at least the 5th owner here at BF, having gotten it thru a PM'd transaction from our friend mb> mb> , who got it on the Exchange from friend and member, Officer's Match Officer's Match , there being at least two previous BF owners that I can trace it back to. There are quite a few posts of this one by both OM and myself at the Cheburkov Channel here. There's even a Dr Frunkey video of it over at YouTube, the knife having been lent to him for review by one Tony Meador who seems to have a substantial Instagram presence and a lot of knife mentions online.

Anyway, after passing through many hands, I think this beauty has found its home in mine. While it shows a bit of wear, it's still in excellent condition with superb action, dead centering, and a super slicey and thin blade, both stock-wise and behind the edge. It's also light for a full-Ti frame lock at 4.25 oz due to elaborately extensive internal milling. OM had mentioned in one post that it has a certain organic feel to it, and while that may seem contradictory for a cold steel and Ti milled object, it is indeed also both plain and fancy at the same time. Just something special about this one....
