EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

See all better now. Actually been a hard day for me also. My dad of 93 years passed away mid morning. Knew it eas coming but not this soon. Was hard for me to see him using a walker and really doing nothing else. He was a very successful business man and always very active. We hunted and fished everywhere together. Golf actually you name it we did it. I took his wedding band off him. Hes worn it from 1953 when He married. Mom passed in 2020. I'm also at peace that he's not knowing that thats all life had left for him.

So sorry for your loss. Both of my parents passed fairly recently. It’s tough. I wish you well.

Sorry to hear, my dad passed a few years ago, my brother a couple years back.

I try to remember all the stuff, my dad said and did over the years. Some was funny, some stupid and then outright offensive. That's who he was, like it not, he wasn't changing. He always hit you with the dad logic too!

Condolences to you and your family.

Thanks Shawn. Sounds a lot like my dad. Tough times for you also my friend.

I'm sorry for your loss. At least he no longer has the frustration of dealing with a walker. 93 is a ripe old age. I'm glad you were close to your father. I wish I could have been close to mine.

Losing someone is never easy, just make sure you don't lose the memories, and a piece of him will always be with you.

Very sorry for your loss. You can never be fully ready for the loss of a parent. I hope you find peace in the coming days.

My condolences to you brother.
I feel it, my Dad has lung cancer and watching a big strong man waste away is terrible.

Carried these sweet fellas yesterday.

It was weird, this weekend I was playing with my Nuetron and suddenly it had a little bit of vertical blade play. It stunned me because I've never felt any vertical play on it at all. Upon looking I found that the lockbar must have moved over a hair and the lockbar was just about out of spring (but still has room to travel across the blade tang). So I opened it up and adjusted the lockbar to put a little more spring pressure into it. I measured it with a Vernier Caliper and another depth measuring tool and gave it just a little more spring. It took a few trying to adjust and then assembling and check it's before I added just the perfect amount of spring. She's all good now, locks up perfectly, and is smoother than ever before after cleaning everything and giving it a tiny bit of Hoppes # 9 on the washers. It still has a good percentage of lockbar travel left as well.

The Ti liner/lockbar had rounded over a little bit after thousands of flickings (not lost material, but just moved it around a bit into more of a rounded over shape rather than a 90 degree angle) to match the angle on the blade tang lockface. It's all good, I'm not busting on TRM or anything. I think it's just something that can happen when a knife has a Ti liner that is so thin for weight savings. She's all good again though and feeling better than ever.
