It's a Pro-tech TR-3. I used to have a TR-5 as well with a blue blade and I sold it when I was trimming down the knife count. I kinda miss that one.

Today I spent some time on my wife's truck. I'd charged it after it failed to start yesterday, took the battery out this morning, and over to my friendly local parts store for testing. They identified it as 6 years old, confirmed it as on the way out, and gave me a good deal on a new one. I cleaned up the contacts and bracket and got the new one in after vacuuming out under the hood. I carried my old combo-edged RAT with its new scales again, now that it's graduated to regular work user from back-up emergency truck knife.



Later I cleaned up and got ready for my shoulder PT session, followed by a trip to get an oil change, lube, etc for the wife's vehicle. I switched up to one of my favorite EDC's for that part of my day.
