I love the feel of anodized aluminum. I personally think that aluminum scaled knives are some of my favorite. You get the rigidity of having metal scales like Ti, stainless, brass, copper, etc., but also the benefit of being super light weight. And, you can even have them look like beadblasted Ti if you want, but lighter.I'd forgotten just how much I like the 940. Amazing action and a lot of blade in a very strong, easy carry light frame.. And how do those aluminum scales feel like velvet anyway? This one is new, replacing the one the AF graduate chose in a family giveaway a couple of years ago.

i dont particularly like the knife but the handle on my aluminum Lionsteel Skinny feels very nice. Anodized black, and has held up incredibly well. Both the coating and the aluminum. Dropped and kicked across the floor multiple times, and it still looks basically new. It just feels high quality in the hand. Now IMO there are a multitude of other problems with the knife, but materials and fit and finish are not one of them.I love the feel of anodized aluminum.
