I got the F350 back from the body shop yesterday and had just the best experience with someone new to me who'd come highly recommended by my work buddy. The owner went to bat for me with the insurance appraiser and not only did he get enough to cover his full hourly rate and costs, he was able to wipe out my deductible and get enough to write me a check for $150. They did a nice job with the new fender needed after the winter storm tree damage, paint matching that and repainting the adjacent door. The guy's honesty and customer care was exceptional as many would just hit me with the deductible anyway and never even consider refunding any overage. Still some good ones left out there....

I spent the day reloading everything I'd cleaned out before taking the truck in, rearranging things a bit, throwing out a lot of accumulated junk I'd stuffed in a box earlier, and loading up for a road trip tomorrow. Seeing how we've had a bit of a RAT infestation on these pages, thanks to DA170 DA170 , @knarfeng, myself, and now @cutchu, and @Chuck_Nunface, I went with my old AUS8 combo-edge Model 1 wearing its hand-me-down pants from my new S35VN RAT.

ChazzyP ChazzyP “rat infestation” 😅😍
Nobody down there has a loaner carry for you? You could always get something for down there, or even a disposable Walmart carry. I've done both. 😅
This is what I do! I’ve sent a few to my friends and family , so I’ve got something to carry when visiting

I flew down to SC yesterday to visit family, so I can’t carry nothin’ til I go home again Sunday. I feel nekkit!

Grab something there and leave it for future visits or get two and gift one and have them babysit the other 😉

☝️ this is the answer. I've gone so far as to order some cheap Opinels and Mercator knives from Amazon and had them delivered at out-of-state relatives' houses. Used them well on the trip then left them behind for future trips.
