EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

Disposable vacation knife is growing on me

There is something that I think many people miss about budget knives. We often get caught up in having the best of everything, but sometimes it is fun to have a knife that cost less than $20 that you can use and abuse with abandon because if you break it or lose it you can easily go buy another one and replace it.
You don't really care about scraping, cutting against hard surfaces, prying, dropping it, having it slip out of your pocket in the woods, etc.
When I have something really nice or expensive, there is always that urge in the back of my mind to protect it or baby it. Having a cheap knife feels liberating in a way. And when they sharpen easy and cut good, it makes it all the better.

^ Truth.

A couple months ago I accidentally dropped a Koenig on the concrete in a parking lot. Stood there stunned for a minute hoping it was a bad dream. Damage wasn't too bad though. Luckily just a couple small scratches.

I rarely carry my Shiros, mainly because the pocket clip tension is really strong and it is difficult to use, and I'm too scared to try to loosen it up. Also, they are my most expensive knives. Alas, this morning I decided to carry my beloved f95nl. I also had my new livewire with me. I was walking around in the tall grass of the pastures, bringing horses in, flipping my knives as usual. I was playing with the livewire and went to put it in my pocket , and to my dismay, my f95nl was gone. Which is very strange, because I have dedicated pockets for it and visually watch it go in. I walked around for 40 minutes in the sweltering heat to no avail. Then I remembered how sometimes the halters have snagged my clip, so I went to the barn to see if perhaps it fell off in a stall. To my delight, and great luck. . .
