I dyed it black! I had previously done some ergonomic rounding on these swapped Micarta scales. Yeah, they were initially very round in contour but still managed to have a crisp outside edge. I eliminated that edge. They were already a "black" Micarta but the process disrupted the look of the layers and fuzziness of the lighter surface at the outer curve. I wasn't happy with how it looked.

Black, or Rit DyeMore Graphite in this case, was the perfect fix. Now everything looks uniform. It still feels fuzzy over the majority of the surface. The comfort is totally maximized. I also get plenty of hold with the larger clip I added. In other words, this Kizer Microbe is now exactly how I want it.

Had to do the mandatory rules test, airbrake test, haz-mat and route familiar test.

Used to be a two day class, now they cram it into 12 hours!
