Condolences. Did your dad have an EDC setup?

Sort of, he always had a cheap knife.
About 25 years ago I told him to pick 1 of mine. He chose a Laguiole D’ Artisan in ebony.
He carried it in a WH clip case every day at work till he retired. He ran the floor of iron foundry.
He was an avid gardener, so I gave him a cold steel bushman and an opinel 10 hawk bill over the years.

Been smoking since he was knee high to a grasshopper. Tried quitting numerous times, just couldn't kick the habit.
