EDC XIII Which knife or knives are you carrying today?

How are you liking the spydie tool? Been thinking about getting one for work.

I'm not the best person to ask as I've only had it a couple of days, but im really liking it so far! I will say, the tools seem a bit gritty when opening, but I haven't tried to clean or oil it yet, they may just need to break in.

I wish I would have purchased one when they first came out. It's nice having a Spyderco blade in a multitool. The reason why I put it off for so long was that the handle looked uncomfortable. It's actually pretty good.

Now I'm dreaming of a Spyderco custom shop where you can build your own tool, like Benchmade has on their website for certain models.

Kershaw Knockout clipped to pocket...

....And a Bear and Sons stockman. Overall I’ve been happy with this knife. The scales are nice, and heavy pull on each blade (which I prefer). The steel is run a bit softer than I would like, but overall it’s a serviceable pocket knife.

I think I may need one of these in a left hander. Ops Rick isn't making them yet...yet.
Im a lefty but I carry right handed.
After many years of carrying a gun on my strong hand side and my knife on the weak side it feels more natural to me but I do favor my left and have no problem switching off :)
I think you’d be very happy with this one

Just added my Natural Micarta scale on my Skinny and oh man it’s feels and looks good

Nice, we're twins haha, only I've a sheepsfoot and you've got a slicer... cousins maybe instead.

heads up I lightly sanded the inside of my scale with some fine sandpaper and it helped dramatically. the scales come kind of sharp out of the box and it takes a while and some skin to wear them down unless you hit them with the fine grit first.

Enjoy!

I had one a few years back. Ended up selling it and picking up a ZT0561. It's the top one. Only because it could be carried left handed and at the time it was the only way to get just about the same thing as a xm18 but with bearings

It’s funny you mentioned that because my OD green stock G10 scale felt that way and was thinking about light sanding the thumb area by the lock bar. But it wasn’t bad and planned on swapping it out anyway so left it. But the micarta scale was more rounded and felt like it was already smoothed out and definitely thumb friendly. I noticed there were no sharp edges anywhere on this particular micarta scale.
Maybe I got lucky and they did it to this one. But like you mentioned it’s a very easy fix if it wasn’t
Yup we have twin cousins :D

Before I put mine on I remembered you mentioning how good it felt. I felt mine when it was off the knife and with the exception of the more rounded edges I couldn’t really feel a big difference. But once I put it on and felt how good felt I instantly thought of what you said and thought wow you were so right lol :D

This friggin Kershaw Launch 8 has nearly ruined manual knives for me.

I've been awake for about an hour (insomnia/nightmares) and decided after much pondering to see if the MXG deep carry clip on my ~$260 ZT 0095S90BLK will fit the $104 Launch.

And it does. So now the ZT is clipless, and now I'm much more comfortable carrying the Launch since 1/2" of handle isn't sticking out of my pocket to catch on things and call attention to it. Especially since there is now one less billboard on the knife. So now, it's time to buy a new deep carry clip for the ZT.

I love CPM-154, especially on a thin blade like this.
