Not so great phone pic in weird light:

It's a blue burl. The edges of the scales have been polished and anodized mostly gold for contrast. (Consistency is difficult with a torch.)

Benchmade 940... sort of.

Blade is from @razor-edge-knives, scales are from Rockscale Design, backspacer (not pictured) is from @deathofallthings and the clip is from MXG... the axis chassis and fasteners are all that remain of the original knife. My dream 940 for half the price of a gold class model.

Sick set up... very cool.

I gotta say, that is really cool. I wish the 'Zaan was available with inlays as plain Ti bores me, but I like the thumbstud better than the Sebenza. I've yet to handle one though.
