It is one of the best black matte finishes, i believe they use some acid or like, bcoz it reminds those acid etched dark finishes on custom blades. Same finished clip on hk turmoil, my 940-1 had it NOT DEEP carry as i can remember. Have had some limited 551 with it as well, very strong against wearing. Jeans' pocket polished the wood-like pattern of that red-black gten off from handles surface of the first gten 551, which was kw exclusive if im right, cerakote got scratched by wood etc but the clip remained black. Um, yeah, those red accents in gten and red standoffs were the only reason i sold that one. But it really looked better when the surface had the wood pattern before it went off. It is not like your sebenza wearing in beautifull. Sigh.I believe they call it black oxide.
I hope you do not cut right on that ceramic dish. Willnt stand such steels for awhile)

Damn, i saved it.
That was all Josh @razor-edge-knives . I gave him general instructions but I specifically asked him to use his expertise to do it right. It's a noticeably better slicer than factory.I like the the way he re-did the spine on yours toward the tip, dropping the point while leaving the slightest suggestion of the former reverse tanto. Is your hollow grind a large radius too? That really makes for a great slicer.

Really like that blade sir. Bonus points for having the ball bearings to take it to work.![]()
I was worried about how the KVT bearings would hold up to all the drywall and wood dust i work around. Havent had to clean it yet
