EDC your BK-2 at the office on 'Casual Fridays'...

I hear Thrillbilly's been away preparing for the "Denim Invasion"; off bedazzling jean-jackets in his secret underground ogre lair...

*Red rover, red rover, we call Thrillbilly on over!

:D

Very sheek man! Makes me wish I was still rockin a mullet. Business in the front, party in the back.

Never underestimate the power of beer induced genius! It is genuinely interesting :D

Oh yeah? Well there's plenty more beer where that came from! ;)

How's about a back-pocket protector for knife-knerds? :D

I like the friction folder. Who made it?

The friction folder was made for me by fellow forum member Defaultuser. Great guy who does great work (mostly makes fixed-blades.) This one is in CPM154 steel, natural linen micarta scales, titanium pocket clip and a cap-lifter built into the tang.

On a serious note, I've been reading some threads about folks making denim micarta scales for their knives, which I think is pretty nifty.
Did it for my 11, made it oh so much more comfortable than a cordwrapped one.
Cool disguise! Nobody'll ever know!

I've considered adding a piece of denim to a clip on a folder to make it more stealthy when wearing jeans.

Lmao. I miss this place something fierce.

Ha this just made my day, this just makes me glad that I go to college in the ADK's and nobody really looks at you twice for carrying a knife

Okay, I carried my 2 all day today at work. It was busy as hell. And hot, too, so I wasn't sure I'd be up for packing around a pound of extra steel on my belt.

I have to say, it wasn't all that bad. A little heavy, though. I was carrying in my AZWelke sheath, horizontally, and just to the right of my belt buckle. The sheath could have used a retention loop on the tip to help keep it from flopping around so much. Still, overall, a success.

I was going to get some pics, but forgot my camera. Maybe I'll pack it again Monday and take pics this time.

Well, I've learned two things since this thread started:

1) There is a way to carry even a Machax on Casual Fridays that will go completely unnoticed and has nothing to do with fancy camo wraps...

And ...possibly unrelated...

2) If you decide to whip up a couple 'back-pocket protectors for knife-knerds', always use old jeans...

Really the only reason that I did the grooves was so that I could actually tighten the bolts down without them digging into my hands. I'm definitely not skilled enough to countersink the nuts in a shape that would grip them enough to allow tightening.
