Is the axis lock like the cold steel ultra lock?

yes they are very similar. benchmade has been using it ever since the 710 first came out it was designed by McHenry/Williams and benchmade holds the exclusive rights to that particular version. its extremely strong and easy to operate with either hand.

I don't think I've ever seen a sub-$100 one-hand knife I like more than the Griptilian and Mini-Grip. I carry a Mini-Grip daily along with the far more often used Victorinox Ambassador. Most of us, I suspect, carry a single blade knife as an EDC but honestly, I suspect most of us would be better served with some sort of Victorinox SAK. They just aren't tacticool.
