edc, I made it in 1070 steel, and the wood used is desert ironwood, beautiful. very hard.
The knife has a professional heat treatment in an electric oven. gave a hardness of 59 hrc, the back has a fine segregation. Truly a piece for a lifetime.
measurements are: blade length 6 "
total length 11.5 "
thickness 0.11 "
