Edc?

Boxterr, are you in NYC, or up state out of the city?

It will make a difference. Don't go around NYC with a pocket clip showing.

Carl.

It sounds like you parents have added fuel to the fire. It will be interesting to see what comes up next on the want list.

Haha, couldnt of put it better myself. And, @Murdamook Im damn near hoping it does! I think either a salt tasman, or pacific salt next, just because i wont be afraid or others seeing me with a bigger blade when were on the water... and i hear that serrated H1 is sharper than the PE, but also harder to sharpen... Im already coming up with excuses to why well need them on the water :) Before then though, i think a SAK is in order. Not sure which one, though im liking the farmer.. And yes, sad as it is i have next to no sharpening experience... Growing up protected will do that to you.. though im not quite sure im done growing up :D and @jackknife Thanks for the tip, on my trips to the city il be sure to deep pocket carry :), im in the burbs something like 30 miles from the city. But even here, god forbid i carried around a 99c 1.5 inch Fake swiss army knife.. i probably would have removed the clip and kept it deep pocket one way or another as teens with knives in more urban areas are vigilantes who spraypaint graffiti on walls, and joy ride.. There are few who know better near/in the city.

I hope not. I stopped getting taller at 15......according to my wife, that's also when I stopped maturing...heh heh heh....

The SAK is a fantastic starting point. I would submit that the "ALOX" SAKs also look very very cool. If you get a SAK now, you'll likely have one the rest of your life.

Welcome to the forums. I'm so very glad you chose a source of good info where you'll learn about knives, and how to be respectful with them. One less youth lost to the mall ninjas lol

I try to pick good sources of info, and to learn the right things quickly.. i was thinking the farmer? For the record, mall ninjas = enemies

With the SAKs, just decide which one looks and feels right to you. The farmer is a good model. I carry a camper. Any are good knives.

The Camper was my first SAK, now I carry a Huntsman (Camper with scissors)
Delica is a good knife - and I second those who tell you to ditch the pocket clip unless you're hiking/camping.

good choices!

Ill be gettin a farmer i think... i dont think i would need any other tools :) thanks for the input everyone!
