Stands for Every Day Convenience Kit. Since 90% of my time is spent in an urban environment, I decided to put together a realistic kit of things I have needed in the past for "minor emergencies". It includes a very basic first aid kit, 6 bandaid strips, 6 butterfly strips, 1 gauze pad, 4 neosporin packets, 4 pepto bismol tablets, 4 aleve, and 6 aspirin. Also in the kit are a needle and thread, tweezers from a Victorinox (sharpened to a point), 4 safety pins, 18" of duct tape, and an eyeglasses repair kit. Coupled with my Vic Soldier and mini flashlight on my keychain, this kit covers any minor inconveniences that come up daily. I don`t claim this to be a survival kit, just some practical things I have needed in the past.

sounds like a pretty good little kit...

i have managed to get all of mine into a pocket carry setup (but the other day i moved most of it into a small camera case to wear on my belt so i have less crowded pockets.

it is:
1 tube krazy glue (for fixing cuts, abrasions, broken or ripped things)
1 zippo lighter
1 small spy capsule with spare fuel
12" paracord
1 small tin of burt's bees lipbalm (wax based, so can be mixed with cotton for impromtu PJCB, or used for a lubricant)
billfold
slim Cross pen
slipjoint folding knife (lately been the large Case stockman)

i often carry a BRKT mikro canadian in a mercharness style rig under my armpit (for single hand access with either hand and as a great little backup knife) and my BRKT nebula on my right hip.

so far i have been pretty well equipped for just about everything. in my shoulder bag or backpack i often also have a roll of cloth medial tape that is great for all kinds of things (cuts, repairs, etc)

I keep mine in a tin in this belt pouch for a camera. Along with what is on my keyring, and the lighter I always carry, I feel comfortable with it.

In my wallet I carry a few good band aids, butterfly clips, anti-sting pad, alcohol prep pad. In a zippered baggy, just in case.
