For Sale:

Edgar Cole Chimera. I custom ordered this knife direct from the maker three years ago. It has never been carried or used. The flipper blade with a fuller is M390 steel @ HRc 61.5. It runs on phosphor bronze washers. The handles are 6AL-4V with a Diamond Crosshatch milling pattern and their proprietary black ceramic coating. It has T8 TORX pattern Pivot Head & Screw. The Pivot Collar and Proud Backspacer are copper.

In addition to the maker’s standard cardboard box and COA card, this package includes the maker’s optional custom machined storage box. I am pretty sure it is 6061 Aluminum with a Cerakote finish and custom molded interior. I don’t believe they offer these custom anymore.

Price: $825 PayPal F&F

The price includes USPS Priority Adult Signature Required shipping within the United States.

Please PM to confirm your “I’ll take it” reply. Any other questions should be sent through the message system here to prevent cluttering this thread. I will be happy to discuss any details with you there.

Full Disclosure: After taking the above photos, I noticed the bottom left magnetic post on the metal storage box was loose in its hole. I put a drop of superglue in the hole to reset the pin. I discovered the next morning that some of the glue oozed up to be visible after drying as shown below. I factored this slight visual flaw into my asking price.

i'm in australia, if you are prepared to sell to me i will buy.me taking all risk once it leaves the usa. i would also pay additional postage suggested sending by usps express. i have bought about 50 knives on B/F check me out. my email if interested is dmorton12@bigpond.com

I looked into what's involved in terms of customs forms, shipping and labeling rules, etc. just to educate myself. I also read up on Australia's laws on knives and determined that the description of what they consider to be "Flick Knives" is vague and potentially far reaching enough that Customs and/or local L.E. have too much latitude to claim knives like this are restricted for my liking and your risk.

The bottom line is that I appreciate the interest and the offer, but I am going to pass. Sorry.

Phil

no worries phil, i probably don't need it anyway. just to be clear however i know my knife laws otherwise i woudn't be giving you and other american sellers a full indemnity. if it gets seized i lose not the seller. regards dave
