Just got my first taste of Edge 2000 today.Wow!!, thats scary! I was just wondering if anybody has had any luck duplicating this edge on Arkansas stones. My edges come out OK,but nothing like that.

Oneslowbird,
Welcome!
Are you talking about trying to duplicate the Edge 2000 on a diferent knife or are you trying to re-sharpen an Edge 2000 knife?
Take care,

Well, since no one else bought me any knives
for Christmas, I bought myself a Nighthawk and a Big Sky. I must say, I wasn't too impressed with the sharpening. Neither one would shave arm hair when I got it. The previous Buck knife I got, a Skinner, had a pronounced rolled edge.

I like the blade geometry quite well, but they obviously need to be touched up. So, is there a preferred way to resharpen the E2K?

Peace,

Al F.

In reply to myself, I now have no doubts at all about the Edge2000 geometry, just got back my old Buck 105, after having it upgraded to E2K. That thing is now, truly scary sharp. I guess the 2-3 marginal ones I got were a bad day or something.

Peace,

Al F.
